Harbour View Gastrointestinal Clinic Suffolk, Virginia Completed Winter 2005 When the Maryview Gastrointestinal Clinic relocated to a new single-story medical office building at Bon Secour's Harbour View Medical Plaza the desire was to create a Òcenter for excellenceÓ which would be evident in the level of technology as well as the aesthetic environment of the facility. brwarchitects worked closely with the medical staff and facility managers to develop a space that would support the current technological requirements of today's gastroenterological equipment while fostering efficiecy and comfort. Creative use of color and materials as a positive distraction has proven sucessful, while keeping costs within budget. The waiting room, with its warm cherry paneling, curving soffits, and decorative pendant fixtures creates an inviting space where patients and families can wait comfortably, and offers a coffee bar that welcomes guests to relax. The GI Clinic accommodates three Medicare accredited procedure rooms, a nurse station, eleven private recovery bays, and office space comprising over 6,000 square feet of built space.
