Sachem Village Medical Office Building Primary Care / Family Practice Charlottesville, Virginia This building occupies the site at the termination of the main entrance drive for a large office complex. On axis with the main road, the central pavilion serves as an entry portico for an optometrist and a large family medical practice. The portico provides accessible entry to both suites with a ramp as well as stairs. The family practice suite serves five physicians with thirteen exam rooms. The layout is organized around a large central medical work center. It is here that physicians, nurses, and staff interact and support the needs of their patients. The exam rooms are organized in a manner that allows each physician to minimize his daily travel while maximizing their time spent with patients. The optometry suite has both clinical and retail spaces which serve their practice. The retail space is adjacent to the waiting area and provides a buffer between the public areas and the clinical space. download project as .pdf
